We know scars can raise questions. ;)

Once the wound is fully healed. No open cuts, bleeding, or scabbing. If you had stitches, wait until they are removed or dissolved. It’s best to use it early for both fresh and older scars.

Most users start seeing improvements (flattening, fading, reduced redness) after 4–6 weeks. Older or more severe scars may need 2–3 months or more.

Yes. Silicone scar tape works on both new and old scars, including raised/keloid types. It can help flatten and fade these over time

Generally yes, most medical-grade silicone tapes are safe and gentle. However, some people may experience redness, itchiness or irritation, especially with sensitive skin or in hot/humid conditions. If irritation occurs, remove, wait until skin returns to normal, then reapply more gradually.

Yes, but ensure skin is clean and dry before applying the tape. Avoid putting creams or oils under the tape that may disrupt adhesion. If applying a product, let it absorb fully (until no longer sticky) before taping. Sunscreen/oil over the tape may cause lifting. (Avoid breast-feeding zones etc.) adapt to your situation.

Yes, but moisture reduces adhesion. After swimming or heavy sweating, dry the area and reapply or replace the tape. It’s usually okay for short exposure to water; prolonged soaking or hot water may reduce effectiveness.

Yes. You can cut the tape to fit the scar area, as long as you cover it adequately (a little beyond the edge of the scar for better effect). Smooth edges help avoid peeling.

No product is a magic fix, but silicone works best for raised, red, or hypertrophic/keloid scars. Flat, discoloured scars (especially old ones) may respond more slowly and less dramatically. Areas that move a lot (joints) may be harder to treat because adhesion is challenged.

For best results, wear it for at least 12 hours per day. If possible, wear up to 24 hours a day. Consistency matters more than perfection. Keeping it on overnight is especially effective, since your skin rests and regenerates while you sleep.

Yes, it’s been tested on both old and new scars, with visible results in just a few weeks.
